Dear Riverstone Residents, As freezing temperatures and severe winter weather approach, we would like to share important updates regarding community preparations, facility closures, and helpful resources to keep residents informed. These preparations will include draining pipes and
turning off water to all Association buildings/facilities.
Community Facility Closures
- The Club at Riverstone office will be closed Monday, January 26th.
- The Fitness Center & Racquet Club will be closed Monday, January 26th.
Staff anticipate reopening all offices and facilities on Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. (baring any issues at a facility). This midday reopening will allow staff and contractors to check facilities for any leaks or damage and to turn the water services back on safely.
We encourage residents to stay informed by subscribing to weather alerts from your local cities and counties.
Community Preparations Underway
Access Gates: All gated neighborhood limited access gates will remain open in the event of power outages to ensure accessibility. Additional patrol presence has been requested during this time.
Water Shut Off: To prevent damage, water has been shut off at all community parks and amenities until temperatures stabilize.
Lifestyle Events and Rentals: All lifestyle events and facility rentals have been canceled. Programming will resume once facilities reopen and conditions allow safe operations.
Recreation and Fitness Programming Cancelled: All recreation and fitness programs are canceled and will resume when conditions improve.
Plant Protection: Community landscapers began protecting freeze-sensitive plants. Priority areas include tropical and topiary plants, the butterfly garden, neighborhood planters, and key intersections.

Here are a few tips to help keep protect your people, pets, pipes, and plants safe ahead of the freeze:

🔵Protect your pipes by insulating exposed pipes and hose bibs to minimize freezing or bursting.
🔵Protect your pets, prepare a warm space for them inside.
🔵Protect your plants, cover with a tarp, or other material and bring potted plants indoors.
🔵Stay informed, monitor local media and watch for alerts from the National Weather Service.
