Fort Settlement is committed to meeting the individual needs of its students by fostering a community of academic excellence and social responsibility. Dedicated teachers work not only to guide students through middle school, but also to help them become lifelong learners. The curriculum is grounded in solid academic standards customized to middle school-age children. Teachers and administrators are cognizant of the concerns of adolescents and work to create a climate of intellectual development as well as a caring community.
Parents are intensely involved in the school, with Fort Settlement’s PTO raising a significant amount of money to support student learning. Thanks to PTO efforts, the school has a digital video security system, a track and additional classroom equipment including microscopes, telescopes, handheld graphing computers and docking stations for science, atlases and more. The school is No. 2 among middle schools in Fort Bend County and No. 37 of the 2,013 middle schools in Texas after receiving an A+ in the 2019 Children at Risk ratings.
