Registration is now open for a series of comic booked-themed Kidventure day camps that will be held in Fort Bend’s Riverstone June 6 through Aug. 12.
Summer Quest 2016 is the theme of this year’s camps, which will allow children, ages 6 to 12, to activate their inner superheroes through a range of pursuits designed to keep children’s minds and bodies moving. The camps are open to the public.
Superhero Academy, Tales of the Enchanted Realm and Slimetropolis are just some of the camps parents and children can choose from. All indoor and outdoor activities relate to the theme and include athletics, arts and crafts, science projects, team-building, field trips and snacks.
“We are so pleased to be able to bring these amazing camps to Riverstone,” said Nick Deacon, Riverstone’s lifestyle director. “Kids love them. They want to come back year after year to explore the latest theme and let their imaginations run wild.”
The camps will be held at The Club at Riverstone, 18353 University Boulevard. Cost for the basic camp, slated for 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., is $220 a week. Pre-camp and post-camp times of 7-8:45 a.m. and 3:45-6 p.m., respectively, are available for an additional $30 per week each. Registration is available at www.kidventure.com or by phoning 713-960-8989.
Kidventure began providing summer camps in Houston in 1994 and has expanded to include programs in Dallas and Austin. The program boasts low counselor-camper ratios, character-building curriculums and safe environments.
