Johnson Development Names New Riverstone GM

February 03, 2014

Trey Reichert has been named vice president and general manager of Fort Bend’s Riverstone development, one of the nation’s top-selling master-planned communities.

He replaces Tom Wilcox, who has been with Riverstone since its inception and is now retiring.

“Tom has been instrumental in the visioning, planning and development of several of the most successful master-planned communities in the Houston area,” said Doug Goff, senior vice president and chief operating officer of The Johnson Development Corp. “His contributions to the quality of life in Johnson communities during his distinguished career have been truly significant.”

Wilcox has been with Johnson Development for 20 years, serving as vice president and general manager of both Riverstone and Silverlake. Previously, he was senior vice president of operations for Newland Communities and was responsible for the creation and initial development of Greatwood and Cinco Ranch.

Wilcox also has been active in numerous organizations, including the Fort Bend Family YMCA, Fort Bend Green, Fort Bend Senior Citizens, the Fort Bend Independent School District Foundation, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and the Urban Land Institute. He is the former chair of the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce and now serves on the executive committee of the Greater Fort Bend Economic Development Council.

Reichert has been development manager of Riverstone since 2005 where he has been responsible for the development of more than 3,000 homesites and an array of amenities, landscaping and infrastructure. Previously, Reichert worked as a project engineer for a large Houston consulting firm, specializing in master-planned community development. He holds a degree in civil engineering from Texas A&M University.

Reichert is an active community volunteer, serving on the board of the Literacy Council of Fort Bend and the Fort Bend Chamber. He also was co-vice chair of the Fort Bend Chamber Leadership Forum from 2008 to 2012.

A project of The Johnson Development Corp., Riverstone is ranked No. 6 among the nation’s top-selling master-planned communities and No. 2 among Houston developments. Builders sold 791 homes in the community last year. Prices are from the $280,000s to the millions.
