The Johnson Development Corp., celebrating its 40^th anniversary this year, stands as the Houston area’s most decorated developer, with numerous industry awards received throughout its long tenure.

In recent history, the company won the Grand Award for Developer of the Year by the Greater Houston Builder’s Association 2013 Houston’s Best PRISM Awards. That year, The Johnson Development Corp. and its communities won nine awards, more than any other developer, including an award for Humanitarian of the Year.

The Johnson Development Corp. repeated the feat the following year, winning 13 Houston’s Best PRISM awards in the heavily competitive contest. Among the many honors was an award to Cross Creek Ranch for Houston’s Master-Planned Community of the Year, a second win for the development; Marketing Director of the Year to Christen Johnson, marketing director for The Johnson Development Corp.; and the organization’s first Trailblazer Award to Susie Goff, the recently retired director of marketing and fun for The Johnson Development Corp. The developer also won the Grand Houston’s Best PRISM Award for its month-long citywide tour of homes.

In addition, projects of The Johnson Development Corp. are ranked among the nation’s top-selling, according to recent reports from two independent research firms. Robert Charles Lesser & Co. (RCLCO) and John Burns Real Estate Consulting each list three communities of The Johnson Development Corp. on their annual tallies.

Houston-area projects of The Johnson Development Corp. include Riverstone, Sienna Plantation, Woodforest, Cross Creek Ranch, Fall Creek, Tuscan Lakes, Edgewater, Harmony, Willow Creek Farms, Imperial Sugar Land and Silverlake.
