A Bibliophile Bonanza!

Book lovers of all ages will want to head to the library this July, pocketbooks in hand, with two local libraries hosting sales.

The First Colony Friends will hold its monthly book sale 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at the First Colony Branch Library, 2121 Austin Parkway.

The Friends of the Sienna Branch of the Fort Bend County library system will host a quarterly book sale 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 16, at the library, located at 8411 Sienna Springs Road in Missouri City.

Books for adults and children will be on sale, most priced between 50 cents and $2.

The Fort Bend County library system began in 1947 and now boasts 10 branches, the newest of which is the Sienna facility. In addition to storing tens of thousands of books, the libraries maintain active event calendars, with frequent story times for children of various ages, teen programs, computer classes, special programs for adults and more.
