Just in time for the holidays, Riverstone donated more than $12,000 to two Fort Bend organizations, the proceeds from acclaimed artist Tracy Lee Stum’s 3-D art installation in the community.

Thousands toured the work, which Stum created in a multi-million-dollar estate home by Sterling Classic Homes in Riverstone during October. Thanks to the success of the event, Riverstone donated $7,580 to Fort Bend Seniors/Meals on Wheels (enough to feed three seniors for an entire year!) and a second check for $5,055 to the Fort Bend Junior Service League.

“We were so pleased that Riverstone had the opportunity to host such successful events that could also give back to the community,” said Tom Wilcox, general manager of Riverstone. “Both of these organizations do great work for the Fort Bend area and we are glad to support those efforts.”

Members of the Fort Bend Junior Service League collectively volunteer more than 20,000 hours each year and have donated more than $1.4 million to Fort Bend charities including Child Advocates of Fort Bend, Fort Bend County Women’s Center and many others since starting in 2001. Fort Bend Seniors has been working in the community since 1974 and provides Meals on Wheels services to more than 1,000 seniors each day. The Riverstone donation will allow the organization to feed three seniors for one year. For more information on the organization, visit www.fortbendseniors.org.
